WARNING: Lithium-ion batteries can be dangerous if misused. Standalone/replacement batteries (including 18650, 20700, 21700, 18350, and all other removable or rechargeable cells) must be handled with extreme care. Improper use may result in fire, explosion, serious injury, or property damage.

Battery Safety Rules (Read Before Use)

By purchasing any standalone battery from VapeLoft, you agree that you understand and will follow these safety guidelines:

  • Use only in devices designed for the specific battery type. Never use a battery in a device that is damaged, modified, or not intended for that cell.
  • Never carry loose batteries in your pocket, bag, or purse. Always transport and store batteries in a protective plastic case.
  • Inspect your battery wrap and insulator ring before every use. Do not use a battery with torn, damaged, or missing wrap/insulator. Replace or rewrap immediately.
  • Do not use if the battery is damaged (dented, leaking, swollen, corroded, or has been dropped hard).
  • Do not expose to heat, water, or direct sunlight. Keep away from flammable materials.
  • Do not short-circuit. Keep battery contacts away from metal objects such as keys, coins, jewelry, or tools.
  • Use a quality charger designed for lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. Do not use damaged chargers or cables.
  • Never leave batteries charging unattended. Do not charge overnight. Stop charging immediately if the battery becomes hot, smells, hisses, or shows any abnormal behavior.
  • Do not overcharge or over-discharge. Follow the device and charger manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Never mix batteries of different brands, models, capacities, ages, or charge levels. If your device uses multiple batteries, use a matched pair/set and keep them together as a set.
  • Do not modify batteries in any way. Do not puncture, crush, disassemble, or incinerate.
  • Keep away from children and pets.
  • Dispose of batteries properly at an approved battery recycling facility. Do not throw in household trash.

If you are using batteries in high-drain devices, regulated mods, or mechanical mods, you must understand:

  • Continuous discharge ratings (CDR)
  • Ohm’s law and safe resistance limits
  • Proper battery pairing and rotation
